The National President of the National Union of Allied Health Professionals, NUAHP, Comrade Kamal Ibrahim has commended Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on payment of Hazard Allowance and Consolidated Health Salary Scale, CONHESS, for health professionals especially, members in the state.
Comr. Ibrahim gave the commendation on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the office of the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani in Ado- Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital.
The NUAHP president appreciated the governor and the leadership of the state health Sector for making the welfare of health workers a priority.
He assured the government that his members would reciprocate the kind gesture and successes recorded in the health Sector through dedication and selfless services.
In a similar development, the Association of Primary Health Care Workers, Ekiti State Chapter has lauded Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the payment of consolidated health salary scale recently approved and paid by the government to their members.
The Chairman of the Association in Ekiti Comrade Rufai Ayan who led other members of the Executive on a thank you visit to the office of the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, appreciated the governor for keeping to his promises of making them happy at their duty posts.
They pledged their continuous support and unalloyed loyalty to the State Government and stressed their determination to work harder in order to justify the new pay.
The two unions commended the commissioner for his passion and love for all health professionals which they noted has brought unprecedented achievements to the sector across the state.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani appreciated the leadership of the two unions for their visit.
Dr Filani assured the teams of the present administration’s commitment to ensure that all Primary Health Centres across the state remain functional and given necessary facelifts to guarantee quality healthcare service delivery by making drugs, commodities, trained health professionals available at the health facilities.
The Commissioner added that Governor Oyebanji has committed huge amount of money to health care in the state through Ulerawa Health Insurance program, renovation of public health facilities, improved drug Agency, capacity building trainings for health professionals among others.
He hinted that the welfare of all health workers remains a top priority of the present administration urging them to reciprocate the government’s gesture by improving on their job performance
