The Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Ekiti State, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akomolede, has felicitated Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, commemorating Nigeria’s freedom from colonial rule on October 1, 1960.
In a goodwill message by Head ,Media and Communication (NOA) Ekiti state, Mrs RONKE Samo, described the anniversary theme as a call to reflect on Nigeria’s rich history, cultural diversity, and the resilience of its people. She emphasized the urgent need for unity, collaboration, and patriotism among citizens in order to build a nation anchored on sustainable peace, progress, and prosperity.
The Ekiti NOA Director paid glowing tribute to the nation’s founding fathers whose sacrifices secured Nigeria’s independence, while also acknowledging the strides made across various sectors since the attainment of sovereignty and self-governance 65 years ago.
She further congratulated the people of Ekiti State on the 29th anniversary of the state’s creation, urging them to demonstrate deeper patriotism by respecting the national symbols that embody Nigeria’s independence and collective identity.
Mrs. Akomolede encouraged all Nigerians to embrace diversity and work together towards shaping a brighter future, stressing that the strength of the nation lies in the unity and shared commitment of its people.
She reaffirmed the Agency’s unwavering dedication to promoting national values and building a Nigeria where every citizen has equal opportunity to thrive.
