The Nigerian Youth Commissioners Forum (NYCF) has condoled with the Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo over the demise of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momosanni Ododo.
The Commissioners described the sudden death of Pa Ododo as painful and saddening, but urged Governor Ododo and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their patriarch lived a remarkably impactful like worthy of emulation.
Pa Ododo died on Sunday, after a brief illness at the age of 83.
As contained in the condolence message signed by its Chairman, Hon Gold Adesola Adedayo, on Wednesday, the forum averred that the deceased will be fondly remembered for being disciplined, honourable and transparent, as a father, community leader and statesman.
The Commissioners stated that Pa Ododo’s virtues of discipline, morality and honour vividly reflected in the lives of his offsprings, especially Kogi State Chief Servant, Governor Usman Ododo, who has brought a paradigm shift to governance.
“The forum received with great shock and deep sorrow, the news of the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Momosanni Ododo, the beloved father of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chief Servant and Executive Governor of Kogi State.
“On behalf of the Forum, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency, the Ododo family, and indeed the entire people of Kogi State on this monumental loss.
” A father is a guiding light, a source of wisdom, and a strong pillar of support; his departure undoubtedly leaves a vacuum that cannot easily be filled.
“We, however, take solace in the exemplary life he lived, the values of integrity and service he instilled, and the legacies he leaves behind through Your Excellency’s commitment to good governance and selfless service to humanity”.
In the same vein, the forum extended heartfelt condolences to his colleague and Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Kogi State, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe over Pa Ododo’s passing.
The Commissioners said they expressed sympathies to Hon. Anyebe, who is the forum’s Organising Secretary, at this difficult moment, when he was joining his principal to mourn his late father.
“The Nigeria Youth Commissioners Forum stands firmly with you in prayers and solidarity, asking Almighty God to grant the soul of Alhaji Ahmed Momosanni Ododo eternal rest and to grant Your Excellency, the entire Ododo family and Hon. Anyebe the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“Please accept the assurances of our deepest sympathies, esteemed regards and fraternity at this trying moment”, the forum stated.
