Wife of Nigeria’s President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has restated her commitment towards
improving the lives of all Nigerians through various programmes targeted at promoting the well being of the less privileged in the society, most especially those at the grassroots.
Senator Tinubu, who is also the National Chairman of Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), announced this in Ado Ekiti on Thursday while distributing bags of rice, noodles, spaghetti, vegetable oil, among other food items under her Renewed Hope Initiative RHI, Food outreach Programme to women,children and other vulnerable in their thousands.
The President’s wife who was represented at the event by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, expressed the hope that the initiative would have a tangible impact on the lives of those that are supported through the distribution of the assorted food items, staying that it has already having positive impacts on the lives of people across the nation, especially in places like Kano, Nasarawa, FCT among other States.
She explained that the event aligned with the objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration, that was focused on improving the lives of all Nigerians.
“The renewed hope initiative food outreach programme, a vital component of our social investment scheme is a generous initiative supported by a dedicated industry on a monthly basis. Today, as we launch the program in Ekiti state, we aim to reach all the political zones and support citizens in need”. She said.
The initiator of Renewed Hope Project therefore encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize them for the well being of their families, adding that healthy family forms the foundation of a striving society.
“We are dedicated to supporting our citizens, particular persons living with disabilities, youths, women and children so that they too could be helped to build a better family lives”. She reassured.
ln her welcome address, the Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, described the provision of the food items as a symbol of hope and assurance that Nigerian leaders were committed to addressing the needs of the people.
Dr Oyebanji added that the initiative would bring relief to countless vulnerable people, underscoring the determination through positive and tangible impacts in the lives of the people.
Beneficiaries of the gesture include; Special School for the Blind, Ikere Ekiti, Special School for the Deaf, Ikoro Ekiti, Special School for the Physically Challenged and intellectual Disability Ido Ekiti, Widows , aged and others across all local governments and LCDAS of the state.
