The Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Ekiti State Council has enjoined, Damilola Adeparusi, indigene of Ado Ekiti to remain focused and determined as she embarked on 120-hour cooking marathon currently taking place in Ilupeju Ekiti, Ifeloju Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State to break record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
In a statement jointly signed in Ado Ekiti by Chairman and Secretary of the Union, Comrades Rotimi Ojomoyela and Kayode Babatuyi, enjoined her to be focused to clinch the medal.
The leadership of NUJ urged Adeparusi to prove to the world that Ekiti State is known for hard work and resilience, saying she should break the record and make Ekiti proud through cooking.
The Union called on relevant bodies, individuals and government to rally round her at this critical time as she try to put Ekiti on world map.
