The Ogidigbileran and Ebunlomo Foundation has extended humanitarian support to widows, needy and the elderly in Ila Quarters, Ilupeju Ekiti, as part of activities to mark the festive season, with no fewer than 100 residents benefiting from the outreach.
The foundation, established in memory of the late Chief(Mrs) Ebunlomo Elizabeth Ogunleye and chaired by her son, Comrade Olurotimi Ogunleye, distributed foodstuffs to ease the burden of the beneficiaries and promote love and compassion during the yuletide.
The event, held at the late Ebunlomo’s residence in Ila street, Ilupeju Ekiti on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, also featured prayers and reflections on the enduring legacy of the deceased.
In his goodwill message, Rev. Julius Opeewe of St. Mark’s Church, Ilupeju Ekiti, admonished attendees on the act of giving, saying giver never lack. He offered prayers for the children of the late Chief Ebunlomo Elizabeth Ogunleye, asking God to grant them safety, good health, and divine blessings in all areas of their lives. He commended the family for sustaining a legacy of kindness and service to humanity.


The chairman of the foundation, who spoke online, Comrade Olurotimi Ogunleye, eulogized his late mother, describing her as “a mother indeed” who made immense sacrifices for the wellbeing and success of her children and the community at large.
Comrade Ogunleye disclosed that the foundation was established in 2018 in honour of his mother’s values of generosity, selflessness, and compassion, noting that her memory would continue to live on through acts of service to the less privileged.
“Our mother lived a life of giving and sacrifice. This foundation is our way of ensuring that her good works and love for humanity are sustained, especially among the vulnerable in our society,” he said.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Oboja Ajileye, Olowoyo Bosede, and Chief Victoria Arobieke, expressed deep appreciation to the foundation for the timely support. They offered prayers for God’s protection, guidance, and prosperity for the children of the late Chief Ebunlomo Elizabeth Ogunleye, describing the gesture as a source of hope and relief during the festive period.
The outreach reinforced the foundation’s commitment to uplifting the needy and preserving the cherished legacy of late Ebunlomo Elizabeth Ogunleye through continuous community service.
Earlier the coordinator of the foundation, Hon Ojo Joseph Oluropo commended the foundation for reaching out the elderly, widows and the needy, saying the stuffs given them will ease their present condition. While appreciating the foundation, he prayed God to continue to bless the financial of the foundation.
