Few months after the demise of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, his wife, Olori Kafayat died in United States of America.
The Director of Media and Publicity at the Alaafin Palace, Mr Bode Durojaye confirmed the death of the Olori to journalists few hours ago.He said ” She died in the United States of America on Friday night.Mr Durojaye promised to give details later.
Olori Kafayat Adeyemi was the mother of Prince Adebayo Adeyemi , the Chairman of Oyo State Local Government Pension Board.
Recalled that Oba Adeyemi joined his ancestors on 22 April, 2022 after a brief illness at The Afe Babalola Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti at 83years.Till date, the new alaafin has not been installed.
