The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, was reportedly assaulted on Tuesday following a violent disruption of a stakeholders’ meeting at the party’s secretariat.
Eyewitnesses said armed thugs stormed the venue of the meeting, throwing the gathering into chaos and attacking some of the party members in attendance.
In the aftermath of the incident, Adetimehin was seen lying on the ground as sympathisers and other stakeholders rallied around him amid the confusion.
The motive behind the attack and the extent of injuries sustained were yet to be officially confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
