Following the excessive heat and scorching sun witnessed in the last few weeks across South Western States, Ondo town witnessed second rain in the year yesterday night.
The rain started around 9:35 pm and subsided few minutes to 11 PM. The heavy downpour which did not show any sign suddenly started raining while people that were outside because of the excessive heat horridly rushed home.
The town witnessed the first rain in 2024 early January.

Weather experts and Ekiti State Commissioner for health and Human services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani gave precautionary tips on how to cope during the excessive heat to includes: Staying hydrated, stay in well ventilated spaces, Put on light clothes, reduce exposure to sun and call emergency number 112 among others.
