The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji voted at his home town, Ikogosi Ekiti at 11:25am and applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for an improved electoral process.
The Governor, who arrived at his Unit 003, Okelele street, Ikogosi- Ekiti at 11.06am in company of his wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, cast his vote at about 11.25am due to effectiveness of BVAS.
Addressing journalists shortly after casting his vote, Governor Oyebanji, commended the smooth electoral process so far, saying the effectiveness of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machine, would enhance credibility of the polls.
Oyebanji commended the impressive turnout of voters at his polling unit, described the process as fair. The governor who was elated also called on all Ekiti electorates to come out en mass and vote.
The Governor was optimistic that his party, APC would win the presidential and National Assembly positions.
Speaking on his assessment of the election, the Governor said, “I can only use my ward and my polling unit to assess, the process. For now , I can say it is seamless and it is an improvement on the previous elections. I must commend INEC for this.

The Special Adviser to the Governor, on Media, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, opined that the result was a reflection that Ikogosi people love Governor Oyebanji.
Adding, that information from other polling units shows that APC was in early lead.
