The Nigeria Police, Zone 17, Akure has confirmed the arrest of the Oba-elect of Araromi Ekiti in Ijero Local Government, Prince Babalola Adebomi over alleged certificate forgery.
The Oba- Elect was said to have claimed to be a graduate of University of Ibadan
According to the Public Relations Officer of the zone, Mr Adeoye Hakeem a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the suspect was petitioned through a legal practitioner by indigenes of Araromi Ekiti who alleged him of forged certificate to work at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH).
According to the concerned parties, someone with such character is not worthy to be crowned traditional ruler of Araromi Ekiti
The suspect was later granted bail as investigation continues
