Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as ‘Portable’, has been arraigned at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday.
Portable was declared wanted by
Ogun State Police Command, on Wednesday, traveled to Lagos and surrendered to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba .
The charges stemmed from an incident on February 5, 2025, when Portable allegedly led an attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise at his bar in the Sango Ota area.
The officials sustained injuries, and while nine of Portable’s associates were arrested, the singer evaded capture until his recent surrender.
The Ogun State Government has condemned Portable’s actions, describing him as a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal.”
They emphasized their commitment to upholding the law and ensuring that such behaviour is addressed appropriately.
