Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun has confirmed that the president missed his step and tripped during the Democracy Day at Eagle Square on Wednesday.
Reacting to the viral video, Dada Olusegun wrote on his X handle, “Mr President missed his step while climbing the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues,”
President Bola Tinubu had
on Wednesday, slipped while boarding the parade vehicle at the venue of the 2024 Democracy Day.
The President had approached the vehicle shortly after he arrived at the Eagles Square, Abuja venue of the programme to review the guards on parade but lost his footing as he was about to step into the vehicle and was assisted by his aids.
President Tinubu reacted that his fall was a sign of respect for democracy. ” I only bowed for democracy” While some of his aids including Onanuga said it was not new for president to fall, he said Tinubu is human, notable personalities had fell at one time or the other.
