Prince Adetunji Owoeye, an Ikogosi Ekiti-born business mogul and Managing Director of Elephant Group Plc, has urged the people of Ikogosi Ekiti to embrace peaceful coexistence and unity to drive rapid industrial growth in the community.
Speaking to journalists at the 2024 Ikogosi Day Celebration and the launch of a N1 billion development project held at Giriwa Playground in Ikogosi Ekiti, Prince Owoeye highlighted the town’s recent socioeconomic progress, attributing these achievements to the shared bonds of love within the community.
The annual event, which brings together Ikogosi indigenes from across Nigeria and the diaspora, was attended by Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, his wife Dr. Abiodun Oyebanji, Deputy Governor Chief Monisade Afuye, as well as the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, other royal dignitaries, top government officials, politicians, and business leaders.
Prince Owoeye expressed gratitude to the Regent, Princess Omobola Adepoju, the chiefs, Governor Oyebanji, and other key stakeholders for their contributions to Ikogosi’s development.
He encouraged them to continue fostering the unity for which the community is known, as it is essential for sustained growth.
As the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN) and the Chairman of both the Rice Importers, Millers, Distributors Association of Nigeria (RIMIDAN) and the Farm Inputs Suppliers Association of Nigeria, Prince Owoeye celebrated the achievements of Ikogosi indigenes and called on all sons and daughters of the town to support community development.
He reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with Governor Oyebanji and other prominent individuals to attract further development projects to Ikogosi Ekiti.
