The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi has felicitated with staff of the ministry as she implored them to celebrate Christmas with modesty and genuine love.
She gave the advice at this year Service of Eight lessons and Carol organized by the ministry in Ado Ekiti with the theme “Praise the King of kings”
The Permanent Secretary who emphasized on the importance of the celebration, appreciated Ekiti State government for the enabling environment to celebrate the workers and showered encomiums on them for their cooperation at moving the ministry forward.
“Let’s imbibe the life of Jesus Christ in His practice and teachings of love, compassion, humility, patience, righteousness and peace. These are what His birth signifies and this will be the best way to celebrate His birth and show respect for his coming”. She implored.
In his Christmas message, the Director Schools Department, Mr Oluremi Ajayi charged Christians, especially Ekiti State civil servants to reflect on the attributes of Jesus Christ whom we celebrate his birth during this season and walk his ways to better the society.
He urged members of staff of the ministry to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ as he reminded Ekiti civil servants that the celebration of Christmas should not be limited to winning and dinning.
There were goodwill messages from all the Directors present as they all appreciated the PS for the quality leadership provided and the beautification of the ministry’s hall.
The choir of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology added glamour to the event with different Christmas songs rendered.
