In solidarity with Islamic faith and inclusiveness, the Executive Chairman of Moba Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, on Wednesday led a high-powered delegation to Otun Central Mosque to distribute food items to Muslim faithfuls in commemoration of Ramadan 2025.
The initiative was in accordance with the teachings of the season to give always especially during Ramadan fast to promoting communal harmony which underscores Hon Fadugba’s administration’s commitment to the welfare residents of the Local Government.
Accompanied by key officials including the HLGA, Mrs. Taiwo Bodunde; Leader of the Legislative Council, Mrs. Abosede Adebayo; Secretary to the Council, Alhaji Bayo Ayantoye; and Deputy Director of Community Affairs, Mrs. Abiodun Olowoyo, Hon. Fadugba emphasized the importance of unity during the holy month. “This is a time for compassion and shared responsibility. We stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters to ensure no one is left behind,” The chairman declared.
Representatives from towns across Moba LGA were present to receive the food items which included essential staples such as rice and semovita. The Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing inclusivity and collaboration with all faiths and communities for the peace and progress of Moba.
Hon Fadugba added “We will sustain partnerships with religious groups and stakeholders to advance grassroots development.
This is not a one-off act. We will continue to foster initiatives that will uplift every citizen,”
Religious and community leaders appreciated the gesture, saying it’s a relief to members that are observing the Ramadan fast. They prayed that Allah would continue to guide and direct Hon Fadugba to continue his good works in the Local Government.
On his part, the chief Imam; Alhaji Abdusalam Onipede lauded the chairman, saying the kind gesture is a testament to responsive leadership.
