The Alumni Association of Saint Augustine Comprehensive High School, Oye-Ekiti, has showcased its landmark achievements as part of activities marking the school’s golden jubilee celebration.
Speaking at a press conference held on Wednesday at the Alumni Secretariat within the school premises, the Worldwide President of the Association, Mr. Vincent Idowu Bamigboye, said the vision of the body is to reposition the school to rank among the best 50 secondary schools in Nigeria.
Highlighting some of the association’s interventions in recent years, Bamigboye listed the construction of a perimeter fence, building of an Alumni Secretariat, establishment of an e-library equipped with computers and modern textbooks, renovation of classrooms, rehabilitation of the school gate, and provision of 16 modern toilets, among others.


Unveiling the lineup of activities for the anniversary, he said a week-long programme has been scheduled to include a career talk, novelty football match, a public lecture, and the launch of a ₦500 million development fund for the advancement of the school, slated for Saturday, October 4.
On future plans, the Alumni President disclosed that the body is working towards reintroducing the boarding system, constructing 16-bed flats for corps members, reconstructing old buildings, and tiling all internal roads within the school compound.
He commended all members of the association for their contributions toward the school’s progress and urged them not to relent, assuring that “prosperity will remember them for good.”





Also present at the briefing were the pioneer President of the Alumni Association, Pastor Babatunde Inumimo Adu; the school’s first Senior Girl, Mrs. Omotola Obabiire; and its first Senior Prefect, Engineer Ishola Ilelaboye. They all pledged continued support for the growth of the school and called for Saint Augustine to be developed into a model institution for other secondary schools in Nigeria.
Saint Augustine Comprehensive High school was established on 29th September, 1975.
