The Deputy Speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan from Ilaje constituency 1, and majority leader have resigned their positions citing political balance.
At the plenary held today and presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, the House Majority Leader, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi from Owo constituency 1 also stepped down and replaced with Ose constituency lawmaker, Hon. Olatunji Oshati.
Akinruntan who is from the same local government area from Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said his resignation was due to political power sharing in the state.
Akinruntan has been replaced with another member representing Okitipupa constituency 11, Hon. Ololade Gbegudu.
