The Senior Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Capital and Human Development Authority, Hon Olakunle Ogunleye has empowered one hundred members of APC in Oye Constituency 2.
Giving financial assistance to selected members from the six wards that made up of Oye Constituency 2, the governor’s aid said his gesture was to appreciate his constituents for standing firm with the executive governor of Ekiti state, Biodun Oyebanji .
Delivering his speech at Ilupeju Civic centre on Saturday, Hon Ogunleye opined that the financial assistance to members from Ilupeju ward 1 and 2, Ire ward 1 and 2 , Omu /Ijelu and Itapa – Osin wards was to support their businesses, trades and education. Adding that the gesture was to commemorate his one year as S.A to the state Governor.
The statement reads”This celebration is not about me. It is about you—the good people of Ilupeju Ekiti ward 1& 2, Ire ward 1& 2, Omu/ Ijelu , Itapa/Osin wards whose prayers and support have carried me this far. Your encouragement and trust have made it possible for me to contribute meaningfully to the administration of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
As part of this celebration, I am presenting Financial empowerment to selected people from the six wards to support their businesses, trades and education . This is not charity—it is investment in your dreams.
Also, my support for APC cross the six wards, I have made provision for the payment of APC office rent in Ilupeju Ekiti 1&2, Ire 1&2, Omu/Ijelu and Itapa/ Osin wards with other logistics. This is to strengthen the structure that unites us as progressives and ensures our party remains a vehicle for good governance and community development.”
The governor’s aid promised to be a servant leader that would be loyal to the shared values of APC.
Hon Olakunle played a glowing tribute to Hon Bimbo Daramola whom he said was instrumental to his political elevation .He said”
Honourable Bimbo Daramola is a mentor, a father, a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support whose goodwill earned me the appointment of SSA to the governor
This appointment I hold today is not just a reward for my effort; it is the fruit of your sacrifice, your name, your recommendation, and your integrity. You opened the door, and you ensured it stayed open. I will never take that for granted.

On his part, Hon Bimbo DARAMOLA applauded the kind gesture of the governor’s aid, saying truly he took after him. While advising the beneficiaries to utilise the money judiciously, he tasked them to work seriously for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Hon Bimbo enjoined the beneficiaries not to be deceived by fifth columnist, saying the best candidate that would be more beneficial to Ekiti state is the present governor. Highlighting his achievements to include: Regular payment of salaries and gratuities, running inclusive government, infrastructure development, good roads, good health services, employment and empowerment among others .
Also, APC Chairman Oye Local Government, Hon Oloye Ogunsakin, former ward chairman , Ilupeju 1, Hon JIMOH OLUWOLE commended Hon Olakunle Ogunleye for given back to his constituents. Tasked beneficiaries to work for Oyebanji’s victory in next year election.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked Hon Olakunle as they prayed God to elevate him politically.
Dignitaries at the event include all ward chairman in Oye constituency 2, Hon JIMOH OLUWOLE, Former chairman, Oye local government, Hon ABAYOMI Ogunyomi, party leaders and Hon Wole Ayeni from Ikole among others
