The Stakeholders of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti have applauded the chairman of the LCDA, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba for his developmental strides in the LCDA.
Speaking at Ilupeju Ekiti during budget defense on Monday, HRM Oba Ogundeyi Joseph, the Owajumu and HRM Oba Philip Eniayewu Oyediran, the Olosin of Osin Ekiti who spoke on behalf of other Obas commended Comrade Ogunmilugba for his numerous projects in the LCDA.
The monarchs mentioned the completed permanent adminstrative complex building, construction of Ilupeju market- mosque road, provision of solar lights, shops, opening new roads across the communities, establishment of Ifeloju Lion Squad security outfit among others.
The monarchs prayed God to elevate him while calling on residents of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area to ensure proper monitoring and maintenance of all projects in their communities.
The Obas who tasked the residents on payment of tax, said “the meagre allocation for the LCDA could not be sufficient to run the council, hence the LCDA should mandate all taxable adults and marketers to pay as at when due so as to embark on more developmental projects”
The Obas while sensitizing the participants, stressed the importance of Internally Generated Revenue and physical projects for upgrade of LCDA to full fledge Local Government, as the duo prayed God to make Ifeloju full fledge Local Government when opportunity beacons.
Earlier, the chairman of the LCDA, Comrade Ogunmilugba had hinted that the projects his administration put in place across the LCDA were based on the needs of each community while reiterating that the budget defense was paramount for development of each community.The chairman who said he took the cue from Governor Oyebanji, saying he’s replicating same in Ifeloju.
Ogunmilugba stressed further that the needs of each community submitted to the LCDA would be thoroughly looked into, to ascertain the categories they fall in to . According to the chairman, “The needs will be categorised into federal, state and Local Council.
Be rest assured that those that fall under our jurisdiction will be attended to based on our financial strength”
While calling on the leaderships of the five communities to co-operate with the LCDA officials on revenue collection and ways to improve internally Generated Revenue, the chairman said he would work till the last day of his tenure in office.

Mrs Akomolafe Adenike enlightened stakeholders of the LCDA on the importance of Budget defense, Review, MTEF( Medium Term Expenditure Frame work) which according to her served as impetus for projects to be embacked on in accordance to the available allocation to the LCDA.
The Director highlighted three types of budget; Balanced, Surplus and Deficit budgets. She called on all Indigenes of Ifeloju,home and in the diaspora to invest in their communities to boost the revenue of the LCDA.
Lending his voice to improve IGR, the Director of Finance of Ifeloju, Mr Tope Jemiseye suggested that individual should be made to pay #500 Flat rate tax, adding that residents should be sensitized through the leadership of the communities that marriages are conducted in the LCDA .
Adding that registration of Association, collection of attestation/ certificate of origin are carried out in Ifeloju Local Council Development Area.
Also,the National youths president of Ilupeju Ekiti, Engr. Femi Fagbemi advocated for youths Empowerment and establishment of Mimi – Stadium to promote sporting activities in the LCDA.
Speaking on the forthcoming Local Government Election, the Monrachs enjoined residents to come out enmass to vote for candidates of their choice, saying the outcome of the election could be instrumental for upgrade to full Local Government and political Wards increment .

Tunde Alonge, High Chief Amos Ogunbiyi who represented The Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, Representatives of Owatapa, Elejelu, the Iyalojas, chiefs, youth leaders from the five communities, Councillors, Supervisor, staff of the LCDA among others.
