Following the directive of the national body of Nigeria Labour Congress, members of the union and Trade Union Congress paralysed activities in government offices and banks in Ekiti State.
The State NLC Chairman, Comrade Olatunde Kolapo and the TUC secretary, Comrade Yomi Peters led labour team to enforce compliance in the state. The union forced workers out of their various offices at state secretariat and banks.
In an interview, the NLC Chairman, Comrade Olatunde Kolapo and the TUC secretary Comrade Yomi Peters urged government to urgently respond to the demands of workers before the strike cripple the economy of Nigeria.
