The wave of support for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji on has expanded with fresh endorsements from Traditional Birth Attendants and Ekiti State Association of Phone and Devices Technicians, for the forthcoming 2026 governorship election.
In separate endorsements rally at Governor’s Office Ado-Ekiti, the two groups lauded Governor Oyebanji for providing purposeful leadership and pledged support for the second term election of the governor.
The Coordinator of the Traditional Birth Attendants, popularly known as ‘Agbebis’ in Ado local government, Mrs Kate Temilade expressed their heartfelt gratitude and profound appreciation to the governor for his unwavering support and gracious accommodation of its members.
According to her, the state has witnessed a remarkable commitment to the welfare and progress of communities saying that the governor has shown exceptional understanding and respect for traditions and aspirations.
She noted that his administration has not only created avenues for economic empowerment but also ensured that their voices are heard and needs addressed adding that this inclusive approach has strengthened the bond between the government and the Agbebi people, fostering unity and development across the state.
The President of Ekiti State Association of Phone and Devices Technicians, Temitope Ojo, who came with hundreds of his members declared that Ekiti is on the trajectory of progress and development, insisting that the re-election of Governor Oyebanji is a unanimous decision of all GSM Engineers in the state.
He emphasized that the state government has provided an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state noting that its members are talented youths of Ekiti State who are committed to the growth and development of the state.
Responding on behalf of the governor, Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho eulogised the groups for supporting the re-election of the governor, stressing that the endorsements will challenge the governor to further deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
While describing the GSM Engineers as responsible citizens who are committed to the development of the state, she urged them to ensure that they get their voters cards ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
