The Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Prince Boye Ologbese, has extended his congratulations to Governor-elect Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his resounding victory in the Saturday, November 16, 2024, governorship election.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the collation of results on Sunday.
Prince Ologbese hailed the victory as a testament to the success of the APC’s governance in Ondo State and a reinforcement of public trust in the leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He described the governor-elect’s triumph as a reflection of the people’s appreciation for effective and accountable governance since the APC assumed power in the state in 2016.
Prince Ologbese expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their continued faith in the APC, attributing the electoral success to the party’s commitment to delivering measurable progress. He emphasized that the victory presents a renewed mandate for Governor Aiyedatiwa to deliver even more impactful governance to the people of the state.
The commissioner also highlighted the broader implications of the victory, noting that it signals Nigerians’ confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and the federal government’s socio-economic policies. He expressed optimism that these policies will lead to sustained progress, economic prosperity, and development across the country.
Commending the APC’s organizational efforts, Ologbese acknowledged the role of key party stakeholders, including the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the Progressive Governors’ Forum, the National Campaign Council, and all party faithful, whose dedication and hard work contributed significantly to the electoral success.
Prince Ologbese also praised the electorate in Ondo State for their peaceful conduct during the polls, which ensured a seamless election process. Furthermore, he commended INEC for notable improvements in election management, particularly the prompt transmission and collation of results, which enhanced the credibility of the process.
As the APC celebrates its victory in Ondo State, the commissioner urged the governor to focus on consolidating on his previous achievements while addressing emerging challenges to improve the lives of the people.
