Ekiti State Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye has reiterated that the present Government would prioritize the welfare of traditional rulers in the state.
Monisade Afuye gave the assurance during a meeting with traditional rulers in Ado the state capital. She commended their roles in the development of the state.
Okinlua Afuye while addressing the traditional rulers at Traditional Rulers Chamber in Ado said the visit was to appreciate them for their support and fatherly roles they played in the development of the state and their neutrality during the last election .
The Deputy Governor called on them to ensure their subjects are well protected .
On the ongoing construction of the traditional council chamber, the Deputy Governor assured the Royal fathers that the project will be delivered by February next year.
She called for more support form the Royal fathers in ensuring the development of the state and promised that vacant stools will be promptly filled in line with lay down law.
Responding, the Chairman Council of Traditional rulers who is also the Onisan of Isan Ekiti , Oba Ayodele Adejuwon commended the Deputy Governor for her thoughtfulness and prayed God to endow her with wisdom and knowledge needed to succeed in office.
Also contributing, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti’, Oba Ajibade Alabi called for more welfare packages for Obas in the state.
