In continuation of the ‘back to school programme’ of the wife of the governor of Ekiti state, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, the wife of Moba Local Government Chairman, Mrs Labake FADUGBA has presented educational materials to not less than one hundred and fifty Students in the local government.
Mrs Fadugba who said the gesture was to further complement the WAOH programmes of the governor’s wife in Moba Local Government said the education support program would go a long way to ease the financial burden of parents as their children prepare to resume new academic session.
Mrs Fadugba while presenting the materials on Wednesday at Moba Local Government said the school package contained : School bags, exercise books, Mathematical set, biro and transport fare.
The chairman and his wife, Hon Bamidele and Mrs Labake Fadugba advised the students that were selected across the eighteen Primary schools and six Secondary schools in Moba Local Government to be determined, focused and faced their studies squarely to attain their goals.
The duo charged the students to shun bad friends that could have negative influence on their careers. The first family in Moba promised to sustain the programme while assuring more initiatives that would better the lives of Moba residents.
The wife of the governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, represented by WAOH coordinator, Mrs Kemi Dairo, commended the wife of Moba Local Government for giving back to the students, saying the gesture would help the parents of the children.
While appreciating the initiator of the Programme that was replicated in Moba, Mrs Kemi said recently the first lady distributed School bags containing: notebooks,
food warmers, mathematical sets, water bottles to five hundred orphans. According to her, ” Today I am deeply impressed and encouraged to see that the wife of Moba Local Government is carrying the torch of hope and empowerment for our children. “You are setting an example of compassion, leadership and service that will positively shape the future of our beloved state ”
There were goodwill messages from the commissioners for Local Government, Youth Development, Member of Ekiti State House of Assembly representing Moba ll: Hon Folorunso Olabode, Hon ADEDAYO ADESOLA and Hon Abimbola Solanke. They appreciated the wife of Moba Local Government Chairman, urged her to keep the good works going.
On his part, the OORE of Otun, HRM Dr Alayeluwa Adekunle Adeagbo, ILUFEMILOYE 1, Adifagbade ll prayed for the students and commended the initiative of the Fadugbas
Two of the beneficiaries, Aremu Taofeek and Tope AJAYI appreciated the chairman and his wife for the education support, prayed God to elevate the first family.
Dignitaries at the event include: Kings, APC party leaders, teachers, top local Government management and parents among others.
