Wife of Nigeria president, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to work together to bridge societal gaps and promote
inclusiveness where everyone can freely contribute to the growth of the nation.
She urged Nigerians to ensure that every citizen, especially those from marginalised communities, is empowered to succeed in life.
Mrs Tinubu made this call in a statement issued on Thursday to marks 2025 international Day of Social Justice.
Speaking on the theme, “Empowering Inclusion: Bridging Gaps for Social Justice,” Mrs Tinubu reaffirmed her commitment to a Nigeria where every citizen, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic background, has an equal opportunity to thrive.
The statement added, “More than ever before, it is time to break down barriers and create spaces for inclusion, where no one is left behind.
This day offers another opportunity to reflect on the progress made and acknowledge the challenges that remain in the journey towards social justice.”
She expressed optimism that, together, Nigerians can build a future where everyone can freely contribute to the growth of the nation.
Every 20 June is an international day dedicated to promoting social justice, including efforts to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender inequality, unemployment, human rights, and social protection.
