The Onimesi of Imesi Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Oba Olatunji Olatunde, Olaibiyemi II, has rejoiced with His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of his 51st Birthday celebration.
In his special tribute, Onimesi branded Ooni Ogunwusi, as a personality with unmatchable stature of Avatar, who has emerged a new order of traditional leadership, by blending royalty with sound character, intellect and clairvoyance, in full alignment with the spirit of Oduduwa, the father of Yoruba race.
This glowing tribute and exemplary commendations were contained in a congratulatory message personally signed by Onimesi, saluting the Frontline traditional ruler on the occasion of his 51st Birthday.
Oba Olatunde said Oba Ogunwusi’s quintessential and outstanding leadership style, particularly his inclusive and pro-people governance, has redesigned Royal leadership and potentially serving as a springboard for the emergence of a more united people, with spiraling and towering recognition in Nigeria’s power equation.
In his special veneration, Oba Olatunde branded Ooni as a special gift to Yoruba and Nigeria at large, who has deployed the instrumentality of royalty to spread the gospel of unity, togetherness and oneness as a way of suturing Nigeria’s fractured foundation to engender stability.
The Ekiti monarch was enthralled with how Ooni has succeeded in changing the face of royal leadership in the southwest, with his democratic style and by elevating the tenet of we-culture that has remained a binding force among the Oduduwa descendants from time immemorial.
The traditional ruler prayed to God to grant Oba Ogunwusi the requisite knowledge, wisdom, strength and sound mental state to lead on the exalted and venerated throne of his progenitors to lead and lift Yoruba Race to an enviable height.
With Ooni’s well defined leadership, Oba Olatunde posited that Yoruba race is fast emerging as an ethnic bloc that can’t be shoved aside at all fronts in the country, which he said has been a motivational force and impetus to other traditional rulers saddled with leadership at all levels.
