The presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party, for February 25th general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to fix all roads that link Ekiti state with neigbouring states, saying his administration would provide social amenities that would make live bearable for the masses
Atiku made the promise during the party’s presidential campaign in Ado Ekiti. The presidential candidate eulogised the state for their intellectual prowess. According to him ” Ekiti State is a center for intellectual discourse , you are more educated than other states in Nigeria, hence, we would make use of your God given human resources to position our country well”
Atiku stressed further that he had set aside 10m US dollar to assist young business men and women grow their businesses.
Adding, that his administration would tackle all the challenges bedevlinving the country.
The presidential flagbearer of People’s Democratic Party appreciated the people of Ekiti state for trouping out en mass at the campaign , saying if elected president he would make them happy too by providing all they need. Atiku Abubakar however berated the APC government in the state for creating artificial fuel scarcity to hamper the people from attending the campaign.
Also, the Vice Presidential candidate of the party, Dr.( Senator) Ifeanyi Okowa, promised that if voted into power, his party would provide Economic recovery, adequate security,qualitave education, industrialization, health care, employment, social amenities that would stop Nigerians from exiting the country to foreign countries.
While canvassing votes for Atiku, the Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal assured the people of Ekiti State of enabling environment to transact their businesses without hinderance. He said Atiku Abubakar had the blue print of Nigeria development if voted as president on 25th February, 2023.
Senator Biodun Olujimi enjoined Ekiti people to vote for all candidates of PDP in the election, saying that would liberate them from suffering .
The Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorcha Ayu appreciated the turnout of Ekiti people and urged them to vote all PDP candidates in the forth coming election. He reiterated that PDP was not meant for individual rather, he said it belong to the masses .
Dignitaries at the campaign includes: Former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, Governors of Uyo, Sokoto, Emmanuel Udom, Tambuwal, former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Prof. Eleka, Dino Melaye, party leaders and executives at both National and states.
However, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose and his cohorts boycotted the campaign .
