The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of 35 secretaries for the 16 Local Government Councils and 19 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state, 7 months after the Chairmen were inaugurated.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode made this known in a statement in Ado Ekiti. He said the
appointment takes immediate effect.
The governor congratulated the newly appointed secretaries, enjoined them to work paripasu with officials in their respective councils in ensuring massive development at the grassroots .
The statement gave the names of the newly appointed secretaries as follows:

Recall, the election of the Local Government / Local Council Development Areas’ Chairmen/ Councillors was held on 4th December, 2021 and the swearing -in was done accordingly while the councils function without Secretaries until this appointment.
