The Ekiti State chapter of the National Associations of Herbal Medicine Employers (NAMEH).has received a certificate of recognition from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ekiti State branch.
During the presentation ceremony at the Labour Secretariat in Ado Ekiti, NLC State Chairman, Mr. Kolapo Olatunde, emphasized the significant contributions of the National Associations of Herbal Medicine Employers to the development of healthcare in the society.
He pledged the Labour Union’s support to guide the association in reaching its full potential, while urging members to adhere to professional standards.
Also speaking, NLC State Secretary, Dr. Israel Taiwo, advised NAMEH members to maintain unity and avoid activities that could tarnish their reputation.
On his part, National President of NAMEH, Chief Yemi Areola,, highlighted the importance of associating with a professional body to regulate herbal medicine practice and curb quackery in the state.
In an interview, NAMEH State Chairman, Mr. John Dada, assured that the association would prioritize the safe use of herbs and addressed the production of substandard medicines .
