Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State have been urged to rally behind Otunba Adesola Adeboro as he indicates interest in contesting the Ikole Constituency I seat in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
Adeboro, a long-standing member and loyal supporter of the ruling party, is widely regarded by party faithful and community leaders as a committed grassroots mobiliser whose contributions have helped strengthen the APC structure across Ikole-Ekiti and Ekiti North Senatorial District.
Stakeholders hinted PRECISE NEWS on Saturday that For more than two decades, Adeboro has remained actively involved in the political growth and stability of the party, consistently offering financial and moral support to APC candidates during elections. From councillorship contests to local government chairmanship elections, State House of Assembly races, House of Representatives campaigns, senatorial elections and governorship contests, Adeboro has played a key role in mobilising support and ensuring the success of party candidates.

Party members said what distinguishes Adeboro is the selfless nature of his commitment. Despite his longstanding dedication to the APC, he has never held any political appointment nor demanded compensation for his efforts.
According to party leaders in Ikole, Adeboro has continually placed the interest of the party above personal ambition, investing his time, resources and influence to maintain unity within the party and strengthen its grassroots base.
Beyond partisan politics, Adeboro is also widely recognised for his interventions in community development and grassroots empowerment initiatives. Supporters say he has intervened in several local issues, supported community programmes and contributed to initiatives aimed at promoting youth participation in politics and social development.
His interventions, according to stakeholders, have helped stabilise party structures in several wards within Ikole Local Government, especially during critical political periods when unity and coordination were needed to keep the party strong.
Political observers in the constituency believe that Adeboro’s interest in representing Ikole Constituency I in the Ekiti State House of Assembly is a natural progression for someone who has spent several years building political networks and supporting party growth at the grassroots level. Supporters argue that his candidacy represents not only experience but also loyalty and deep knowledge of the constituency’s needs.
They also note that rewarding long-serving party loyalists like Adeboro would send a strong message within the APC that dedication, sacrifice and commitment to the party’s ideals are recognised and appreciated.
Stakeholders have therefore called on the leadership of the party, including the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, to consider Adeboro’s contributions and give him the opportunity to represent Ikole Constituency I in the state legislature.
According to them, Adeboro’s emergence would further consolidate the APC’s dominance in the constituency while providing effective representation for the people of Ikole Ekiti and by extention , Ekiti North.
They stressed that his deep grassroots connection, longstanding loyalty to the party and proven commitment to community development place him in a strong position to advance the interests of the constituency while supporting the developmental agenda of the state government.
For many party faithful in Ikole, Adeboro’s aspiration is not just another political ambition but the culmination of years of sacrifice, loyalty and unwavering dedication to the APC and the people of the constituency.
As consultations continue ahead of the next political cycle, many stakeholders believe that giving Adeboro the platform to serve in the Ekiti State House of Assembly would not only reward loyalty but also strengthen the party’s structure and unity in Ikole Constituency I.
