A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Senator Ayo Arise, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his victory in the June 20, 2026 governorship election, describing the outcome as a clear endorsement of the governor’s performance and commitment to the development of the state.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, Arise said Oyebanji’s resounding victory at the polls reflected the confidence Ekiti people have in his administration and its developmental agenda.
He also commended voters across the state for turning out to support Governor Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs. Monisola Afuye, for a second term in office, noting that the mandate would enable the administration to consolidate on its achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy.
According to the former lawmaker ,the governor’s re-election would pave the way for accelerated development across critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and the civil service.
Arise expressed optimism that the second term would witness greater transformation and sustained progress in line with the administration’s vision for the state.
While celebrating the electoral victory, the APC stalwart urged party leaders and members to remain united and focused ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He stressed the importance of unity, justice and fairness within the party, saying these values would be crucial to sustaining the APC’s dominance and ensuring continued electoral success in the state.
“Governor Oyebanji’s victory is not only a triumph for the APC but also a reflection of the trust and confidence the people of Ekiti State have reposed in his leadership. As we look ahead to 2027, it is important for all stakeholders within the party to work together in the spirit of unity, justice and fairness,” Arise said.
He wished the governor a successful second term and expressed confidence that his administration would continue to deliver impactful projects and programmes that would further improve the lives of Ekiti residents.
