The Wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, on Sunday attributed the administration’s recent electoral victory to the faithfulness of God, describing the outcome of the poll as a testament to divine grace and the power of prayers.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service at Glorious Tabernacle Ministry, Ibadan, where her family has worshipped for more than two decades, Dr. Oyebanji said the gathering was to return all glory to God for the victory recorded at the last poll and to appreciate Him for His continued faithfulness to Ekiti State.
She also conveyed the heartfelt appreciation of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, to the church for its steadfast prayers, unwavering support, and consistent love for their family and the administration.

According to her, the prayers of the church have remained a strong pillar behind the successes recorded by the government.
She added that the administration would continue to rely on God’s guidance in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ekiti State.
Reflecting on the achievements of the Biodun Oyebanji administration, the First Lady highlighted several life-impacting interventions across critical sectors, noting that the accomplishments recorded so far were products of divine direction and the government’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of the people.
Drawing inspiration from Amos 9:13, she encouraged worshippers to remain steadfast in their faith, as she expressed confidence that God would continue to accelerate His promises, restore lost opportunities, and crown the efforts of His children with abundant blessings.
She also offered prayers for sustained peace, progress and development in Ekiti State, asking God to grant the administration the wisdom, strength and grace required to successfully complete its mandate.
Dr. Oyebanji further expressed appreciation to the church leadership for its spiritual support, particularly commending the ministrations and prayers of Dr. (Mrs.) Chiyere Obed and Prof. Gabriel Akinbola, respectively.
She described their messages as timely, inspiring, and reassuring, saying they reaffirmed God’s promises of restoration, preservation, and greater glory for His people.
Earlier, the General Pastor of the church, Prof. Gabriel Akinbola, who preached from Acts 27:22 and Joel 2, admonished Christians to cultivate the habit of thanksgiving.
According to him, thanksgiving attracts greater blessings and divine benevolence.
He urged leaders, particularly political office holders, to emulate the thanksgiving virtues demonstrated by Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his family, as he described gratitude to God as a hallmark of exemplary leadership.
