The National Executive of the Ilupeju Youth Development Association (IYDA) has paid a courtesy visit to the former President of the Ilupeju Development Association (IDA), Mr. Mike Osatuyi, who urged the new youth leaders to regard their election as a call to selfless service marked by wisdom, dedication, and integrity.
Speaking during the visit in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, Osatuyi congratulated the executives on their emergence and encouraged them to use the opportunity to develop their leadership capacity for greater responsibilities in the future. He also pledged his continued support for the association.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, IYDA President, Comrade Lawrence Ibitoye, said the visit was to appreciate Osatuyi’s unwavering support for the youth and his immense contributions to the development of Ilupeju Ekiti. He also commended the Managing Director of Agbeyewa Farms and CEO of MATNA Foods, Mr. Oska Seyi Aiyeleso, and Mr Dele Owolabi describing them as mentors whose investments in young people have positively transformed many lives.
Ibitoye appealed for sustained support in the areas of job opportunities, youth empowerment, educational assistance, and partnerships with foreign sponsors, stressing that meaningful engagement of young people remains critical to the future of Ilupeju Ekiti. He also praised Agbeyewa Farms for creating employment opportunities and preparing youths for leadership.
Also speaking, Mr. Oska Seyi Aiyeleso charged the executives to remain focused, uphold integrity, provide timely information on employment opportunities in the public and private sectors, and work closely with Ilupeju Development Association and community leaders. He warned youths against fraudulent means of making money, urging them to embrace patience, hard work, and honesty.
Similarly, the Chairman of the IDA Ado Branch, retired Director SUBEEB, Mr. Dele Owolabi, advised job seekers to prepare adequately for recruitment examinations and offered to mentor and tutor aspiring teachers.
The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on leadership, youth empowerment, and community development, further strengthening the IYDA executive’s vision for a more productive and prosperous Ilupeju Ekiti.
