The Board of Directors of Omiye Microfinance Bank Ltd has honoured the Founder of the bank and renowned financial expert, Oloye Esan Ogunleye, with a symbolic gift in recognition of his outstanding leadership, vision, and meritorious service to the institution over the past 35 years.
The presentation was made on behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Omiye Microfinance Bank family during activities marking the bank’s 35th anniversary and coincided with the celebration of the founder’s 77th birthday.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr Oluwafemi Babalola, alongside with other Director, Dr Biodun Arokodare and the Managing Director of Omiye Microfinance Bank Ltd, Mr. Gbenga Adegun. Speaking during the presentation, the Board described the symbolic gift as a well-deserved appreciation for Oloye Ogunleye’s unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and invaluable contributions to the establishment and sustained growth of the bank.
According to the Board, the presentation of the vehicle was a fitting recognition of the founder’s enduring legacy and the solid foundation he laid, which has enabled Omiye Microfinance Bank to grow into a respected financial institution serving individuals, businesses, communities and government.
The Board noted that the occasion was particularly significant as it coincided with the founder’s 77th birthday, making the celebration a double milestone for both Oloye Ogunleye and the bank.
The directors congratulated the founder on the honour, describing him as a financial guru whose passion, integrity, and commitment to excellence have continued to inspire generations of banking professionals and entrepreneurs.
They also congratulated members of the Board, management, staff, and customers of the bank on the institution’s 35 years of impactful service, expressing optimism that the anniversary would usher in even greater achievements in the years ahead.

The presentation of the 2018 Toyota Highlander was one of the highlights of the anniversary celebration, symbolising the bank’s gratitude to its founder for his exceptional service, sacrifice, and enduring legacy.
