
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Army have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration, intelligence sharing and coordinated security operations in Ekiti State.
The commitment was renewed when the Pioneer Commander of the newly created 8 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Mohammed Sanni Adamu, led his entourage on a familiarisation visit to the FRSC Ekiti Sector Command Headquarters in Ado-Ekiti ..


Adamu said the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the two agencies, fostering cordial working ties and identifying areas of mutual collaboration for effective service delivery.
The Brigade Commander, who was received by the Ekiti Sector Commander, Corps Commander Sanya Adeoye, and principal staff officers, also inspected the Quarter Guard as part of activities marking the visit.
Speaking during the visit, Adamu expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He commended the leadership of the FRSC Ekiti Sector Command for its organisation, discipline and professionalism, noting the neat appearance of personnel and the general outlook of the command headquarters.
He described the FRSC as one of the closest sister agencies to the Nigerian Army among the country’s security agencies, while commending Adeoye for prioritising the welfare of personnel, particularly through the establishment of a functional clinic at the command.
Responding, the FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Sanya Adeoye, thanked the Brigade Commander and his team for the visit and stressed the importance of maintaining open communication channels and robust intelligence sharing between the two agencies.
Adeoye assured the Nigerian Army of the FRSC’s continued cooperation and support, saying stronger collaboration among security agencies would contribute significantly to enhanced security and road safety in Ekiti State.
The visit ended with an exchange of souvenirs between the two commanders and a group photograph.
