Following inability to sight new moon, the Ramadan fasting continues on Tuesday while Eid-El-Fitr holds on Wednesday, April 10 to mark the beginning of new Islamic calendar. Sultan of Sokoto declared in a statement.
Recall that Federal Government had on Sunday declared Tuesday and Wednesday public holidays for the celebration of Eid el Fitr, following call by Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, to Muslims faithful to look out for new moon by Monday. With the new development, Government may extend the holiday to Thursday
