The Presidential candidate of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Saturday met APC House Of Assembly Speakers in Abuja and promised to assign them prominent roles in his campaigns in preparation for 2023 election.
Bola Tinubu had left Osun State where gubernatorial election was in progress to meet the speakers in Abuja who was on a solidarity visit.
Speakers at the meeting were: Mudashiru Obasa of Lagos State, Olakunke Oluomo of Ogun State, Idris Garba of Jigawa State, Kennedy Ibeh of Imo State, Eteng Williams of Cross River State, Funminiyi Afuye of Ekiti State, Oleyelogun Bamidele of Ondo State. Abdulkarim Lawan of Borno State, Abdullahi Bawa Wuse of Niger State, Ahmed Lawan Mirwa of Yobe State, Musa Maigari of Katsina State and Siddi Buba, deputy speaker of Gombe State.
The Speakers congratulated Tinubu on his victory as the flag bearer of APC, promised their loyalty and support for his emergence at the presidential election.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has told the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, that his sudden trip from Osun State to Abuja would not stop his party’s defeat in the gubernatorial election.
In a statement by ( PDP) National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Saturday, read, “Our Party is already aware that APC leaders are rushing to Abuja in a desperate move to manipulate the process and frustrate the smooth conclusion of the election, having realized that the APC has been rejected by the people.
“Asiwaju Tinubu must know that the people of Osun State have spoken and that his running to Abuja cannot save the deflated Governor Gboyega Oyetola from the reverberating verdict of the ballot box”
“Our Party charges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the APC leadership in Abuja to note that the course of the election is already known to all and that the people of Osun State will never accept any outcome to the contrary”
