Ekiti State Government, has organized a two-day training workshop aimed at equipping information officers with modern techniques and global best practices in information dissemination management.
In his opening remarks, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Capacity Development and Training, Professor Olugbenga Tedela, emphasized the state government’s commitment to continuous training and skill development for public officers.
Professor Tedela noted the critical role that information officers play in projecting government activities to the public, necessitated express approval for the training. Adding that the knowledge and skills acquired during the workshop would benefit not only individual officers but will also contribute to the overall improvement of the state civil service.
In his goodwill message, Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, urged the information officers to make the best use of the opportunity provided by the State Government to train and retrain officers for optimal performance.
During the workshop, officers were taken through the fundamentals of news writing, handling of official blogs, and an overview of six-point agenda of public service rules as instruments for enhancing productivity.
