The Ekiti North Senatorial District Leadership Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been officially inaugurated, marking a significant step in the political alignment and developmental strategies of the district.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Ilupeju-Ekiti and was attended by an impressive gathering of party leaders and stakeholders.
The event was chaired by Hon. Alaba Abejide, Chairman of the Local Service Commission, with strong support from the host, Chief S.O. Alonge.
Prominent figures from across the five local government areas (LGAs) of the senatorial district were in attendance. These included Senator Cyril Fasuyi, Comrade Folorunso Olabode, Mrs. Kemi Olaleye, Otunba Oladele Adeniyi, Chief Ranti Adebisi Opomulero, Hon. Gbenga Agbeyo, and Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, among others.
During the meeting, the forum passed a vote of confidence on the administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), lauding his developmental strides and leadership in the state.
The forum also resolved to prioritize discussions and actions aimed at ensuring the governor’s successful re-election for a second term.
A major outcome of the meeting was the decision to draft a strategic action plan for the senatorial district.
To this end, a five-member ad hoc committee, with representatives from each of the five LGAs, was constituted to spearhead the formulation of the plan.
The forum emphasized the importance of collective effort in achieving set goals and encouraged members to remain committed to the party’s agenda.
The next meeting was scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the same venue at 2:00 PM, with a strong call for punctuality among members.
This inauguration signifies a renewed focus on strategic collaboration and unity within the Ekiti North Senatorial District as the APC gears up for future political engagements.
