Five persons have been reported dead in an accident that occurred at the Akobo- Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Friday. One person was critically injured while six others were rescued unhurt .
The accident was said to have been caused by a head-on collision involving two commercial vehicles;
a red colour Micra car and one other
The Federal Road Safety Commission, (FRSC), confirmed the incident in its RTC First Information Report.
The report stated: “The Police have taken the injured victim to Metro Hospital before the arrival of Road Safety personnel while the accident vehicle has been towed to Akobo Police station.
“In order to avoid the occurrence of accidents on the highway, the FRSC warned motorists against route violations.”
