A non Govermental organization Alimosho Bikers (ABMC) has identified with Chef Dammy, a 23 year old Mass communication undergraduate of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti who was on marathon cooking for 120 hours at Ilupeju Ekiti.
ABMC led by their president, Mr Akinsola Akinseye, were in the state on a tour to Ilupeju Ekiti in Oye Local government area by renowned photo journalist and CEO ROW MULTI-BIZ PROD GLOBAL COMPANY, Mr Olabode Wilson Rawa, meeting the Chef at her 88 cooking hours.
Members of the Group Mr Adekola Omikunle, Idianu Grace, among others said they were touched and impressed that young Damilola braced up, despite all odds, to use her God-given talent to take the bold step, turning the centre, along Ilupeju- Ire to a tourist center where people thronged to confirm the authenticity of the marathon.
According to them, they came to the state to visit Mr Olabode Wilson Rawa and felt they could also visit the lady who was performing wonders and had gathered momentum on the social media from people who had shower encomium as well as those who condemned her action following Hilda Bacci Records breaking of 100 hours cooking.
According to the words of the members who spoke differently,
“We have seen a lot of things around, we have been on the street, the people are fantastic, delicious food very exciting sites, hills, rocks waters but we are more excited by this very activity of Chef Dammy the food meets world standard ”
“She is contributing to youth development in her own little ways, I am so happy that Ekiti people are supporting their own. We are here from Lagos to support Damilola, the turn up here is quite encouraging, we saw ver good food she has done, high quality and nutritious, and with this she makes us feel like not to return to Lagos.
In an interview, Mr Rawa who led the team to Ilupeju Ekiti commended the courage of the Chef for making the state proud and again in a high side of social media mention in the last few days. He called on those condemning the action to think logically and join the positive train of encouraging youths ready to take on intuitions for creativity.
Ekiti State has been in the global media space since last week Friday following the decision of an Ifaki Ekiti born Damilola Adeparusi, popularly called Chef DAMMY, when she vowed to cook for 120 hours to surpass Hilda Baci’s record of 100 hours.
A lot of personalities and social media influencers have pitched their tent with Chef Dammy, among whom were the wife of Ekiti State governor, Dr Olayemi Abiodun-Oyebanji, Dr Kemi Olunloyo, Ekiti NUJ, National Famers Forum, Iyalode Adeyinka Bello and Mr Ayodeji Arojo who said DAMMY would be invited to spend two weeks in the US.
Her elder brother, Oluwasogo and mother, Mrs Bamidele Adeparusi, who came from Ifaki to give family support, said they were impressed with Damilola’s courage and resilience.
