As political activities for 2026 governorship election in Ekiti state gather momentum, another appointee and strong supporter of Governor Biodun Oyebanji has tendered his resignation letter.
The Senior Special Assistant on Traffic Management to Ekiti State Governor, Mr Israel Adesokan popularly known as ‘Jaru’ resigned his appointment on 14th July, 2025.
In the resignation letter submitted to governor’s office , Mr Adesokan said he resigned his position to face his family and Business.
He therefore appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the opportunity given him to serve in his administration.
It would be recalled that a member of the EKiti State Waste Management Authority Board, Hon Wale Adeoba also resigned from the government of Oyebanji few weeks ago to join the camp of Hon Kayode Ojo who has not openly declared intention to contest the 2026 election .
As at press time, Hon Adesokan has not given any hint about his next political journey.
