A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Erelu Kemi Elebute Halle, along with her husband, Otunba Haim Halle, is set to receive honorary chieftaincy titles in recognition of their significant contributions to humanity.
The couple will be honored as the Erelu Bobaseye and Aare Bobaseye of Oke Ayedun Ekiti.
The titles will be conferred by the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Sir Femi Aribisala JP, during the 38th Oke Ayedun Day celebrations on the 7th of September 2024.
This annual event is a major cultural and community occasion in Oke Ayedun Ekiti, drawing attention to the achievements and contributions of distinguished individuals.
The event committee noted that Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle, who was previously a gubernatorial candidate under the Action Democratic Party, and her husband have earned these titles due to their unwavering dedication to improving the lives of others and their notable support for the development of Oke Ayedun.
The chieftaincy ceremony is expected to be a highlight of the Oke Ayedun Day festivities, with dignitaries, community members, and well wishers gathering to celebrate the couple’s achievements and their new roles within the community.
