Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba David Sunday Awe Akingbade has assured sons and daughters of the town that he would carry all stakeholders along in the day to day administration of the town for more rapid development.
Oba David Awe gave the assurance on 26th December, 2022 at a ‘THANK YOU LUNCH’ held at Apeju’s premises where stakeholders, Apeju – in Council, Ilupeju Development Association executives, chiefs, youths and religious leaders were hosted by Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti.
The Royal Majesty appreciated the stakeholders, sons and daughters of Ilupeju Ekiti for their contribution towards the development of the town and promised to maintain peace, unity, security and development of the town during his reign.
The monarch called on all sons and daughters at home and in diaspora to invest in the town, saying the town was peaceful and their investment would be adequately secured.
According to Apeju, ” Today’s thank you lunch is primarily to thank God and you individualy and collectively for the unique opportunity and support you have been extending to me since my ascention to the throne of Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti. I thank Ilupeju Development Association under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Femi Babalola for your moral and financial support towards the development of Ilupeju Ekiti”
Oba Sunday Awe, appreciated all branch executives, members, Apeju-in- Council, chiefs, youths, students, Afobajes, omowas, Egiris, Elebis, all and sundries for their unflinching support at all times.
He charged all District Heads to function effectively for the growth of the town, while he called on Ila Quarters to fill all vacant Chieftancy posts with competent persons.
Oba Sunday Awe eulogised late oba Olaleye Emmanuel Oniyelu and High Chief Tajudeen Babalola the Olooseru of Ilupeju Ekiti for their developmental strides in the town.
