The Executive Chairman of Moba Local Government, Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of military veterans and their families.
Hon. Fadugba who stated this during a special Jumat service held at the Otun Ekiti Central Mosque to commemorate the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, emphasized the need for love, unity and collective effort in building a stronger community.
The event brought together local government officials, legislative council members and the Muslim community to honour the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes and retired military personnel.
Addressing the congregation, Hon. Fadugba acknowledged and celebrated the contributions of army retirees, describing them as pillars of peace and security.
The chairman also expressed gratitude to the Muslim community for their unwavering support and called for their continued prayers and collaboration to ensure sustainable development in Moba Local Government.
In his sermon, which focuses on love as a cornerstone of societal progress, the Imam of Central Mosque, Otun-Ekiti, Alhaji Sikiru Babalola,
underscored the significance of remembering and honouring fallen heroes who paid the ultimate price for peace and national security.
He described their sacrifices as a testament to patriotism and called on the community to uphold their legacy through love and service to one another.
The cleric commended the chairman for his laudable achievements since assuming office, particularly in advancing the welfare of the people of Moba Local Government, while emphasizing the importance of love, unity, and community support, describing them as key ingredients for national progress.
Alhaji Babalola also prayed for the continued success of Hon. Fadugba’s administration, asking for divine guidance to help him fulfil his vision of good governance and community development.
