A golden fish has no hiding place as Daily Independent Newspaper bestowed BEST GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR, 2023 Award in community Development to Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
While congratulating the governor, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ekiti State Wing, Comrade Daodu Bamidele Olaitan, said in a statement that the governor deserved the award, considering his giant strides in all sectors less than two years in office.
The statement reads, Governor Oyebanji’s love and passion for people at the grassroot resonates in the massive development in virtually all communities in Ekiti State. This Award is a testament that the ‘home grown governor’ prioritize the needs of Ekiti people”
The NUT Chairman noted that Oyebanji’s human and massive infrastructural development in the state has not only open doors for investment but has given the state a good name which earned him the best Governor of the year, 2023 in community Development by Daily Independent Newspaper.
Comrade Daodu reiterated that the governor’s initiatives, policies, programmes and development across the sixteen local Governments and nineteen Local Council Development Areas of the state are impactful.
Comrade Daodu prayed God to continue to honour the governor, endow him with sound health, renew strength and wisdom to raise Ekiti flag higher. While Pledging unflinching support of Ekiti teachers to the Governor, he urged him to keep the tempo of development high, saying, Ekiti residents are proud of his ‘Omoluabi’s’ ethos .
