The Ekiti State Governor -Elect, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has again reiterated his commitment to good governance, Saying, programmes and basic amenities that would make life worth living would be provided for Ekiti people .
He stressed that his 6 point agenda and continuity programmes of the outgoing governor would be given rapt attention.He added that as ‘ a home guy’ I won’t disappoint Ekiti people, I will serve with the fear of God that they will know that I have done my best because I want to be remembered for good”
Oyebanji stated this during his ” Thank you tour ” to the secretariat of Nigeria Union Of Journalist, Ekiti State Chapter on Thursday.
The governor commended the journalists for their support, before, during and after the election. He said their professional write -ups exposed his secret philanthropic gestures which earned him the exalted post.
The Governor promised the journalists a cordial working relationship, saying, “no government can succeed without journalists” He promised to build an ultra modern Press Center for the union.
Earlier, the NUJ chairman, Mr Rotimi Ojomoyela commended the governor-elect for his support towards the union when he was the Secretary to the State Government and pledged the support of the union to the incoming government.
