Farmers in Irepodun Ifelodun Constituency 1 have expressed their gratitude to Hon. Femi Akindele, the lawmaker representing the constituency, for his generous donation of farm inputs aimed at boosting food production in the area.
This initiative reached a diverse array of beneficiaries, including non-governmental organizations, social groups, and political forums, ensuring a wide impact across the community. The donation is expected to significantly enhance food production within the constituency.
In addition to appreciating the farm inputs, the beneficiaries offered prayers for the lawmaker, wishing that his resources be replenished. This gesture highlights the strong sense of community and mutual support within the constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Mr. Tajudeen Awe praised the lawmaker’s efforts, calling it a shining example of the positive impact that can be achieved when communities and organizations collaborate to meet local needs.
He noted that the initiative would not only provide immediate relief but also foster unity and shared responsibility among the diverse groups in the constituency.
Hon. Akindele, expressing his happiness at the event, revealed that the farm inputs worth millions of naira were distributed to boost agricultural production.
He emphasized the critical role that farmers play in the economic sustainability of society and the importance of supporting them.
During the event, Akindele distributed hundreds of spraying hand pumps and herbicides to farmers from various communities in the constituency.
He noted that this effort aligns with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s development agenda for farmers across the state. Akindele thanked the governor for his exemplary leadership, which he said was worth emulating.
The lawmaker also encouraged the farmers to continue their efforts in feeding the people through their agricultural work and urged all levels of government to maintain their support for the farming community.
He further called on participants to contribute to the development programs of the current administration, both at the state and local government levels.
Dignitaries at the event included the Commissioner for Information, Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, and the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye. Both praised Hon. Akindele for his timely support and urged beneficiaries to make proper use of the farm inputs, reminding them that one good deed deserves another.
