The contractor behind the recently commissioned Oke Ala/Basiri road in Ado Ekiti, Mr. Adewale Olatunji of “Wals and Funs” Limited, has assured the public that the road is built to last, thanks to the use of top-quality materials throughout its construction.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Mr. Olatunji emphasized that the 1.5 km road was completed ahead of schedule without compromising on quality.
Initially slated for a one-year completion period, the project was delivered in just seven months, a feat Mr. Olatunji attributed to the dedication and hard work of his team.
He expressed confidence that the materials and construction methods employed would ensure the road stood the test of time.
In addition to delivering the road project, Mr. Olatunji demonstrated his commitment to community development by donating a motorized borehole to the Oke Ala/Basiri community.
This gesture, he explained, is part of “Wals and Funs” Limited’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which aims to give back to the communities they serve.
Governor Oyebanji, while addressing the residents during the event, commended Mr. Olatunji and his team for their professionalism and timely delivery of the project.
He praised the contractor for adhering to high standards and for his contributions to the community’s welfare.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure development across Ekiti State, assuring residents that more projects would be undertaken to enhance connectivity and improve living standards.
The Oke Ala/Basiri road is expected to significantly ease transportation within the area, boosting economic activities and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
The state government has expressed its intention to continue working with reputable contractors like “Wals and Funs” Limited to deliver projects that meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
